About Us

Hi, I'm Louise, the founder of Little Forget Me Nots and the charity Little Forget Me Nots Trust. My journey has been shaped by grief, creativity, and a deep desire to normalise how we grieve, and it’s a journey I’m honoured to share with you.

Embroidery became my lifeline during one of the darkest times in my life. As I stitched, I found peace and a way to process my emotions, while dreaming of ways to make grief something we can talk about openly, rather than something hidden in silence. For me, getting lost in creativity was a way to fill the void that was left behind. It was through this healing process that Little Forget Me Nots Trust was born, a charity focused on supporting families who are grieving the loss of a child, and creating spaces where we can all grieve openly and together.

If you’re a bereaved parent reading this, you’ll know that you’d do anything to help fill the space left by your child. For me, that ‘anything’ was turning to creativity. Every stitch I made connected me with my child and with the memories of all the little ones taken too soon. I feel so blessed to spend my days with so many wonderful, creative people who are also working to normalise grief and make it part of our daily lives.

In my day job, I am also a Funeral Director. This is a vocation I hold close to my heart, and I am truly honoured to help guide families through some of their most difficult moments. You trust me to help you process your emotions and bring peace when saying goodbye to your loved ones. As the demand for a compassionate funeral director specialising in infant loss grows, I have to find ways to stay strong for you, so I turn to embroidery to help me process my own thoughts. It gives me a sense of connection to your little ones, and I am truly honoured that you are wearing these creations to Remember Them.

I am also a mummy to four beautiful children, with one of them now living in the stars, guiding our family from above. My little Taylors help me walk the path of healing and show me how we can speak more openly about grief, paving the way for future generations to do the same.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Please feel free to reach out, say hi, and share your photos with me. I would love to see how these pieces are helping to keep the memories of your little ones alive.
